The VOX V860 is a beautifully compact mono volume pedal equipped with hand-wired jack ports and a tuner-output. Free of any circuit boards, this passive pedal is specially designed to not affect your tone and has a remarkably sturdy, anodised aluminium build finished a hard-wearing layer of anti-slip rubber stamped with the VOX logo. The V860 offers smooth stepless action and can be adjusted in terms of mechanical resistance (torque) for the perfect feel.

In eerste instantie een Fender FVP-1 pedaal gekocht maar deze vertoonde dezelfde mankementen als een andere klant ook al ervaren had. (lees reviews FVP-1)
In Goes een andere Fender pedaal gaan uittesten samen met deze Vox V860 als alternatief.
Uiteindelijk heb ik voor de Vox gekozen vooral omwille van de betere bouwkwaliteit en het verlies in vertrouwen in de Fender.
Ik vond de kleinere Fender pedaal wel iets handiger en lichter, maar deze Vox is kwalitatief veel beter.
Ook al is hij in China gemaakt, net als de Fender, je voelt echt het kwaliteitsverschil. Ook mechanisch loopt hij soepeler. Passief, dus geen voeding nodig, en een tuner uitgang net als de Fender.
En de sound van je gitaar wordt helemaal niet beïnvloed.
Ik hoop dat hij ook duurzaam zal zijn, maar ondanks de hogere prijs zeker geen miskoop.
